Abraham Lincoln to Appear at Martinsburg Library
February 28 @ 2pm
February 28 @ 2pm
Mr. Ralph Lincoln, a distant cousin of the late president, will portray Abraham Lincoln at the Martinsburg Public Library on Saturday, February 28, at 2pm. Mr. Lincoln will speak for about an hour and will end with a brief period for questions.
Ralph's great-great-great-great-grandfather and Abe's great-grandfather were brothers, which makes him a third cousin of the President. In Fayette County, Pennsylvania, you will find a small, obscure cemetery where members of the Lincoln family, including Abraham Lincoln’s great uncle Mordecai (who served in the Revolutionary War) and Mordecai’s son Benjamin, are buried. Mordecai Lincoln is Ralph’s 5th generation great grandfather.
Ralph has continued to live and work in his ancestral home of southwestern Pennsylvania where he pays tribute to the great men in his family who have shaped the history of our country. He has presented Lincoln (with the special perspective that comes from his family ties) at various events in and out of his state, including at Ford’s Theatre, in Washington, D.C., and at other Lincoln historic sites. Lincoln and his family!
